Love Wins: A One Sentence Review

There are SOOOO many reviews out there now of Rob Bell’s new book Love Wins that it can be really hard to wade through all of them.

We here at American Jesus have decided to help you save some time by writing a very concise review which pretty much sums up the book along with most of the controversy surrounding it.

So, without further ado here is our 1 sentence review:

If you’re a Calvinist you probably won’t like Rob Bell’s new book Love Wins, which is ironic since he also affirms predestination, albeit a slightly different version.

    I had a Calvinist friend said only an evil God would send everyone to Heaven. Of course, a good God chooses who’s going to hell at the beginning of time, for his own glory.

    Does anyone see the obvious difficulty?

    Calvinists are in love with power. Logic, grace, reason, mercy, and goodness are tolerated if they demonstrate god’s power.

    that’s a very succinct and acute review. however, let it be said that here stands one calvinist in full support of rob bell.
