Samaritan Woman

April 13, 2011

Remember back in the day when Lenny Kravitz was relevant and he covered “American Woman” by The Guess Who and made it popular again?

Well, in good ‘ole fashioned “we only use material that hasn’t been relevant in a least a decade” Christian style, these guys took that classic song and put a Jesus spin on it. For some reason I don’t think this version will be as successful as Mr. Kravitz’s.

Presenting “Samaritan Woman”……

(skip the first :30 if you don’t want to listen to the mini-sermon….lyrics are below in case you want to sing along)

Samaritan Woman

Samaritan woman, get the way from Me, Samaritan woman, mama, I am He,
Won’tcha come and bang on My door, I sure wanna see your faith some more,
I got more important things to do, like spend My time goin’ bold with you,
Now woman, I said stay today. Samaritan woman, listen what I sa—–y.

Samaritan woman, get the way from Me,
Samaritan woman, mama, I am He,
Won’tcha come and knock on My door,
I sure wanna see your faith some more,
Water and Light can live inside,
A spark in someone else’s life,
Now woman, I said get the way,
Samaritan woman, listen what I say.

Samaritan woman, said get the way,
Samaritan woman, listen what I say,
Won’tcha come and bang on My door,
I sure wanna see your faith some more,
I don’t need your sore regime,
I don’t need your meddled means,
Water and Light can live inside,
A spark in someone else’s life,
Now woman, get the way from Me,
Samaritan woman, mama, I am He.

Go, gotta get the way, gotta get the way, now go, go, go,
I’m gonna need you, woman,
Gotta believe Truth, woman,
Why die, why die?
Why die, why die?
You’re so good for Me,
I’m so good for you,
Gonna look at you right in the eye,
Tell you what you gotta do,
You know you got belief,
You know you gotta know,
You know you got belief,
You know I’m gonna show, woman,
I’m gonna feed you, woman,
Good bye, Samaritan woman,
Good bye, Samaritan, switch.
